Easter Baskets a Big Hit!

The be4good project delivered 75 filled Easter Baskets to the Atlanta Children's Shelter (acsatl.org) on April 17th.  Childcare Director, Billie Walker met us and was gleefully happy with all the goodies.  I asked Billie to give us a tour of the facility since team member Jill Hewes was visiting for the first time and was excited to see all the progress the shelter had achieved. For the first time this fall, they will welcome up to 10 children in their new kindergarten program.  The ACS organization is thriving and their successes are many. Our continued prayers go out to them.

From the heart

On February 14th, our founder spent a few hours with the children at the Atlanta Children's Shelter in downtown Atlanta.  She met with all 40 of the children and made Valentine headbands, sang songs,  read books and provided cookies.  The children, and teachers alike, had a blast celebrating the "day of love."

We are fortunate to be able to share our time and energy with others.

Holiday Cheer for Seniors in Need

Fall is finally here and with that starts the holiday season.  For many, this is a sad and lonely time of year - more so than other times since so many celebrations happen around them. As we all know, there are many seniors who have no visitors and feel very alone.

This holiday season we wish to bring a little holiday cheer to some of our seniors in need. We will be assembling 30 filled stockings and present them to St Vincent dePaul. Every stocking will be filled with an assortment of items - some needed, some for enjoyment and some for a yummy treat.  We will add handwritten notes to each stocking sharing the joy of the season with each recipient, too.

Here is our need list.  Please email us with the "letter(s) below" that you would like to donate. All items need to be able to be used separately, for example: we cannot use a packet of 5 items together as we would have to open them and separate them into each stocking, losing their cover/packaging. Many of these items can be found at a dollar store.  We will be making 20 womens stockings and 10 mens.
