Holiday Cheer for Seniors in Need

Fall is finally here and with that starts the holiday season.  For many, this is a sad and lonely time of year - more so than other times since so many celebrations happen around them. As we all know, there are many seniors who have no visitors and feel very alone.  

This holiday season we wish to bring a little holiday cheer to some of our seniors in need. We will be assembling 30 filled stockings and present them to St Vincent dePaul. Every stocking will be filled with an assortment of items - some needed, some for enjoyment and some for a yummy treat.  We will add handwritten notes to each stocking sharing the joy of the season with each recipient, too.

Here is our need list.  Please email us with the "letter(s) below" that you would like to donate. All items need to be able to be used separately, for example: we cannot use a packet of 5 items together as we would have to open them and separate them into each stocking, losing their cover/packaging. Many of these items can be found at a dollar store.  We will be making 20 womens stockings and 10 mens.

J - 30 individual packs of microwave popcorn - RGGS
K - 30 small bottles of hand lotion - LCC
L - 30 small packs of notecards with 30 pens - PV
M - 5 books of first class stamps (10 in each book) - SB
N - 5 books of first class stamps (10 in each book) - SN
O - 5 books of first class stamps (10 in each book) - SN
P - 25 puzzle/Sudoku books - RGGS
Q - 30 small cosmetic cases/bags - CNK
R - 10 mens manicure sets - CNLF
S - 30 cute magnets - VRS
T - 30 eyeglass repair kits - PLS
U - 5 books of first class stamps (10 in each book) - JH
V - 5 books of first class stamps (10 in each book) - JH
W - 5 books of first class stamps (10 in each book) - JH
X - 30 mini LED flashlights - CNLF
Y - 30 combs - KSG
Z - 30 toothbrushes - JC
